There is a new local action team operating in Peacehaven which aims to target and
provide solutions to Anti Social Behaviour hot spots in the town. Team membership
consists of Police Community Support Officer’s, Anti Social Behaviour Co-Ordinator,
Town Councillors, Housing Officers, Neighbourhood Watch, Resident Associations and
Youth Workers. There are a number of initiatives the team can use to identify and
stamp out anti social behaviour to create a better community to live in and they
have already had great success in other areas where there is a Local Action Team
set up. The Local Action teams have a very pro-active agenda in scrutinising hot
spot areas and their strength will be ever greater if there is community involvement
and cohesion. It is very important for the community to report incidences of anti
social behaviour to either their local action team or the police. For further information
or to report anti social behaviour in your area please contact Louisa Young on 01273
484394 for the Coastal Areas or Alistair Parkin on 01273 484339 for Lewes and Rural.
